Hello and welcome, my friend.
If you’re reading this, you might be wondering why I decided to create this free menu guide and mini cookbook for families affected by the Federal Government Shutdown.
For 25 years, I worked in government public service and I still remember how frightening shutdowns were for my family of six, especially as the sole provider. So when this one happened, my heart immediately went out to all the families now facing that same uncertainty.
As a Chef and a Mom, I couldn’t sit back and do nothing. So I did what I do best. I went into my kitchen, rolled up my sleeves, and created Simply Hope - a five-day meal guide filled with easy, nourishing recipes to help you feed your family well, even on a tight budget.
I’m Mina Grace Ward, Founder of The Clean Body Code® and also known as The Graves’ Disease Autoimmune Chef.
Ten years ago, I was diagnosed with Graves’ Disease and told I’d never get better. I was bedridden, and my only medical options were radiation or surgery. Doctors told me diet didn’t matter but I knew in my heart there had to be another way.
And there was.
Through faith, plant-based foods, and major lifestyle changes, I not only recovered, I’ve been in full remission for over seven years.
I still have my thyroid, I take no medication, and I feel healthier at 61 than I did in my 30s.
I made a promise that if I ever healed, I would help others find hope through food and self-care. Because food is medicine, and medicine is food.
With so many families now caught in this difficult moment, I wanted to offer something that could bring comfort, warmth, and a little light to your table.
Simply Hope is my small way of saying, you’re not alone, and even in uncertain times, love and nourishment can still fill your home.
From my kitchen to yours and with so much affection and love,
Mina Grace Ward
